How PlanoIQ Works
Deploy Audits Instantly
Expand your reach, not your payroll. Stop relying on expensive, slow field teams. Tap into our nationwide on-demand auditor network to capture inventory, pricing, and compliance data instantly. Put eyes on any shelf, anywhere, and pay only for the insights you receive.
Track Every Shelf
Eliminate retail blind spots. Stop guessing what your execution looks like. Request targeted audits by store, banner, or SKU, and get photo-verified proof of your shelf conditions in under 48 hours — most inside 24. Turn retail uncertainty into absolute clarity.
Analyze Any Store, Anywhere
Every store you're in, in one place. Open any completed visit for that store's full report — its A-to-F score, the exact issues our reviewer marked on the photos, and how shelf prices compared to what you set. Filter by region, chain or date to see whether a problem is one bad store or a pattern across the whole banner, and watch repeat visits climb or slip.
Turn raw shelf data into decisions
Data your buyers can't argue with. Every issue we photograph is counted, grouped and ranked, and it all lands in one dashboard. Filter by store, region or date, fix what matters first — and when you sit down for your next retailer review, your side of the table has the receipts.
Every data point is verified.
Every visit is proven.
Real photos only
Photos must come from the camera, at the shelf. Screenshots, gallery uploads and photos-of-screens are rejected automatically.
Checked on the spot
If it isn't a photo of your shelf, we reject it right away — while the auditor is still standing there to retake it.
Timestamped and located
Arrival and departure are stamped server-side, and every photo carries its own GPS and capture time read from the file itself.
A person checks every report
Someone at PlanoIQ reviews the shelf, grades it, and corrects anything the AI got wrong. Nothing reaches you unchecked.
You only pay for completed audits
You're charged when the report is ready, and only for the brand and store you ordered.
Find out which stores are quietly costing you money.
An audit is only worth what you do with it. Here is what teams do with theirs.
Find the sales you're losing right now
An empty facing earns nothing. See exactly which stores are out, how long it's been happening, and how many doors it's spread across — before the quarter closes on it.

Walk into the buyer meeting with evidence
Dated, geotagged photographs of their shelf, graded. Distribution gaps and compliance failures stop being your opinion against theirs, which is what makes credits and commitments negotiable.
Check the promotion you paid for actually ran
Trade spend assumes the shelf edge changed. Price checks show where it didn't — the sale sign that never went up, the price that never dropped — store by store, to the cent.
Point the next round where it hurt
Not every door needs watching at the same rate. The results show which stores keep failing and which keep coming back clean, so the next campaign goes where the problems are instead of spreading the same schedule across the whole list.
Prove the new SKU actually made it to shelf
Retailers accept a listing; shelves don't always follow. Confirm the launch is physically present in the doors that took it, in the first weeks that matter.
Launch audits the way you launch ad campaigns.
The Campaign Builder is your control center. Define where, when, and what to audit — PlanoIQ handles everything else.
Objective
Pick what auditors check in store: in-store shelf audit, display and promo compliance, or a new product launch. Add an auditor brief and it shows on their phone before every visit.
Store Targeting
Browse our store database by chain, region, state, and city, or upload your own CSV list. Hide locations already covered by an active campaign so you never pay for a duplicate visit.
In-store Details
Tell auditors where your products sit — in aisle, endcap, or floor display — and add SKUs for price and availability checks. Attach shelf photos or planograms per retailer.
Schedule
Choose one-time, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or a custom gap between visits. Restrict visits to weekdays or specific days, and leave the end date open for continuous coverage.
Budget
Set a spend cap and see the visit count it buys at your tier rate, starting at $29.99 per visit. Nothing is charged upfront — visits are billed only as they complete, and the cap is a hard limit.
Eight conditions. One visit. Zero guesswork.
Every shelf photo is checked against all eight conditions below. Each one found is pinned to the exact spot on the image — so you get a location, not an opinion.
Not on Shelf
No presence anywhere on the fixture — zero chance a shopper finds you. The most serious finding there is, and the only one that grades a report F on its own.
Out of Stock
Bare shelf is visible in the space allocated to you. The gap is marked where it appears, so the store team knows which facing to refill.
Low Stock
Product is present but the row isn't fully filled. Caught while there's still stock on the shelf, which is when a top-up is still cheap.
Facings
Units sit too far back or aren't pulled forward, so the row reads as empty from the aisle even though the product is in stock.
Tidiness
Items turned, fallen or out of line. Individually small, but it's the difference between a shelf that looks tended and one that looks abandoned.
Competitor Encroachment
A product that isn't yours is sitting in space you negotiated for. Evidence you can take straight to the retailer with the photo attached.
Misplaced Product
Your product turns up outside its allocated space — stranded in another brand's block or the wrong aisle, where your shoppers won't look for it.
Damaged Product
Packaging torn, crushed or split. Flagged unit by unit so the store can pull or mark down before it shapes what shoppers think of you.
Price checks
List the SKUs you care about with the price they should be ringing up at. The auditor reads the shelf tag in store and records what’s actually printed, plus whether a sale sign is up. Every mismatch is reported to the cent — so you find the promo that never reached the shelf edge, in the store where it happened.
